Amanda was better than I could have even conceived was possible. I’d like to think I’ve gained not only a great photography contact, but a real and wonderful new friend from my experience working with her. From the first message I sent to her, something just felt right to my wife and me. So go on and give her a shot! She just seemed so fun and real, whereas other choices seemed maybe a bit stiff. We met her in person, and our suspicions of her awesomeness were resoundingly confirmed. The price point is really a bargain, if you ask me. It’s one of those things you gotta pay for, yes.. but her value is more than just the business aspects of getting photography planned. You get peace of mind knowing that there’s this cool person backing you up. I just wanted to find someone who made me feel like they were going to capture the spirit of our wedding, that we could be ourselves around, and that they’d present it all artfully. With Amanda, we got all of that in droves, all the while just being buds with her and emailing her whenever we felt like to just goof off. Seriously! Amanda was awesome from beginning to the end!! From the start it was really easy to work with Amanda because she was so quick to respond to all the questions I had for her. This made figuring out all the details super smooth, and if you have already began your wedding planning you know how hard the process can be. So I really appreciated the ease of planning with Amanda. She made sure that we got everything we wanted in our photos and planned accordingly so that on the day of the wedding we would not need to worry at all. And we didn’t. I could write a novel on how pleased we are with Amanda Pomilla Photography. Amanda did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. Our engagement session was rescheduled at least 5 times due to rainy weather and if you know Texas weather, it never rains! Amanda was calm and flexible throughout the rescheduling process (which kept me calm) and especially the day of the shoot. She made my husband and I feel comfortable behind the camera and gave us direction to capture some amazing downtown pictures. She even made time to let our dogs join in on some of the photos! On our wedding day, Amanda and her assistant were there the entire day taking photos of us, our wedding party, family, and friends as well as the venue, decorations and all the details. She gave us direction when needed but quietly captured personal moments that we will cherish forever. She will stand on a ladder, lay in the grass or do whatever it takes to take the most perfect pictures! And at the reception, she set up a photo booth with fun props for our guests to enjoy. Amanda did a beautiful job on ALL of my wedding pictures. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. She was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. I have never gotten any professional photos done of myself, let alone my business, so I was a little concerned about looking goofy or unnatural in them. The photo session with Amanda turned out to be a true delight, she was confident and gave great direction. It was extremely comfortable and fun, so it was really easy to act natural. But the final photos are what really blew me away. They were exactly what I was hoping for. Her style is very natural and not over-processed which was exactly what I had wanted. My family and I absolutely adore Amanda. Not only is she a talented photographer, but she is also such a kind and wonderful person. My husband and I had Amanda photograph our wedding back in 2010. Those photos were beautiful, and Amanda was so professional. So when my husband and I had our first baby in February there was no question we had to have Amanda take these as well. Again, I am so glad we did! The day was so much fun. Amanda has a son of her own so of course she was amazing with our little girl. She had the cutest ideas, and was extremely patient. When I saw the pictures I was speechless. They were more gorgeous then I could have ever hoped they would be.
