This beautiful ranch is owned by the groom, Steven, and he built this house himself. When Caitlyn and Steven get married this fall, this will be their first home together (along with some cute pups!). Their love story has a The Notebook-esque element to it that I love. They started out together as kids, fell in love in 8th grade and stayed together through high school. When they went off to separate colleges they thought they would let love go and see the world. If it was meant to be, they would come back together. Seven years later (while he was building this house), Steven got a feeling something was wrong for Caitlyn, and he called her up. She had just broken up with the guy she thought she would marry, and they instantly picked up their connection where they left off. They had quite a gap and some independent adventures, but you would never know it spending time with them. They’re funny, they’re sweet, and they’re very in tune with each other.
I hope they cherish this engagement session at their first home!
(For the record, yes, you are about to see 30 images, and that’s quite a long blog post for an engagement. But know that I exercised a lot of restraint because I wanted to post more! These two are a blast to hang out with, AND they have cows.)
Caitlyn is a fantastic coordinator over at the Hyatt Lost Pines. I can’t wait to see the gorgeous wedding of her dreams in November! And if she needs help building those dreams, well, I know a great guy that can do it.
