Oh, Houston! I grew up in Houston, and I moved to Austin for college (HOOK EM!). Like so many students, I fell in love with Austin and stayed. I love Austin; kinda like you love your best friend. It’s not a problem-free love, but it’s strong. Most of my weddings take place in and around the Austin area, but a few times a year I drift off to other cities for weddings. Houston must have known I was coming because it started to downpour as I was reaching the city limits. What a welcome home! Kristina and Pat weren’t phased by the rain at all. We had talked about the possibilities a couple days prior, watching the weather updates. We were in agreement: Rain or shine, this will be fun! I suggested some fun umbrellas, and they were completely on board. I can’t express enough how amazing it is to have go-with-the-flow couples who trust you to do your job because all they want to focus on is marrying each other!
