It’s that time again for a gorgeous Austin fall family session! We all know fall is far too short. We blink and suddenly Austin has gone from hot summers swimming at Barton Springs to cold winter (our Texas version). “Where did fall go?!” is a question I frequently hear. Between school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, our holiday shopping, pumpkin picking, costume choosing, and latte enjoying moments we somehow lost track of the perfect time for family photos. Let’s make it happen! Last year I committed to making sure my own family got fall family portraits. We typically fall into the “cobbler’s children have no shoes” category. But if I’m going to preach it to my clients, I will live it with my own little ones. And we did it!
This fall session is with the adorable Cushmans. I was so happy they asked me to spend time with their family! The first day we chose end up giving us a few sprinkles, you can see them in the 5th picture down. We decided to regroup and try again on another day, and I’m so glad we did!
These cuties ended up moving to Minnesota after the session, I imagine they’ll have some REAL winter stories for me soon!
The Huffington Post published an article this week about how family portraits hanging up in your home can boost your child’s self esteem and feelings of security. You can read it here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/57fd4951e4b0c9418ecb1364?timestamp=1476218400295 My son recently asked me if we could put some family photos in his room because he likes to see my face before he falls asleep. What an easy request! Yes, sweet boy, mama wants to be there with you each night as you close your little eyes.
Your turn!
