A lovely Pecan Springs Ranch wedding with Amanda and Gareth!
I like to meet my brides in person before booking if I possibly can. Due to the demands and balancing act of having a job that I adore, a family that I love to pieces, and a few little hobbies, I can only take on a certain amount of weddings per year. Therefore, it’s important to me that I connect with the brides that book me. When Amanda first made contact with me, we were not able to meet. We traded emails, and of course having the same name and some of the same interests (hello fellow Jane Austen lover!) were putting us on the right track. We had such a whirlwind meeting when we finally got together that we had a hard time recognizing each other months later at her bridal session! Fortunately, our worlds calmed down, and I can remember every moment and detail of her wedding day.
We still keep up with each other on social media and occasional emails about our favorite books/shows. I point all of this out because THIS is the type of bride I always hope to find! Someone joyful and kind. You’re supposed to ‘put it out in the universe’ what you want. And what I want (besides a trip to Europe or to book a wedding out of state for 2015!) is to find more brides like Amanda.
