I received an email from Valerie a few weeks before her big day asking me if I might be available, on a long shot, to photograph her beautiful The Lodge at Country Inn Cottages wedding in Fredericksburg. The worst had happened, their original photographer had to bail, and it was high season in Texas. Lo and behold, it was my only free Saturday left [cue the rainbows unfurling across the sky]! We had some quick cross country phone calls, and before we knew it, we were official!
Now let’s look at this gorgeous wedding. I was swooning over Valerie’s pink BHLDN dress, which she accented perfectly with her belt. The groom, Bobby, was styling in his blue suit and pink tie. All of the groomsmen had fantastic socks, and the bridesmaids had dresses in different colors and styles that complimented them perfectly. Peonies. Did I mention the peonies? They’re my favorite wedding flower. Oh, I browse and flirt with other styles, but overall, the peonies never go out of style for weddings.
The personal details at this wedding were fantastic. There were the custom straws with the bridesmaids’ names so they can drink their red bulls in style, beautiful rose gold accents, succulents, custom carved block with their new name amalgamation, and I love the two big chairs with their gold Mr. and Mrs. signs hanging.
