Amanda and Nate had a lot of fun at their UT and Lamar Pedestrian Bridge engagement session, and so did I! This was our first time to meet, everything had been communicated via email and through the fabulous Clearly Classy Events. All I knew going into this session is that the bride and I shared a name (always a good sign), she wanted a beautiful and laid back session, and it was HOT outside. We’ll start off by thanking Nate. Let’s face it, the girls are usually way more excited about engagement photos than the guys. Add some crazy heat and the fact that Nate was bringing it with his ensemble; suit jacket (and sweet pocket square) is a great touch but also adds another layer to hold in the heat! It can really set the tone for the whole day if one person is miserable, but there’s no way that was going to happen!
These two lovebirds trekked all over the UT campus (Amanda in heels) as we made stops by one of my favorite buildings, crossing the sidewalks and green spaces I once walked (in what feels like a not so far away time), hitting up the sun-filled greenhouse, and using a building frame I’ve wanted to photograph for quite a while. Great choices, Amanda E.! Then it was on to the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge to get some Austin skyline goodness. And we got several very Austin-y photobombs, including the cyclist pictured below (I saved the ones with the dog rear ends for another time). They laughed and loved through each location, and I’m thrilled they picked me to spend this unforgettable time with to document their lives!

I’ll be seeing this insanely gorgeous bride again in a couple months for bridals, and they will make it official with a knock-out fall wedding at Camp Lucy with an amazing team!
