Lisa and Brian drove in from Houston for this fun Austin engagement session! This couple holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. Some of those reasons I’ll get more into on their wedding post down the road. First off though, let’s talk about why you remember them. These adorable faces were featured because they’re one of my first ever proposal couples years back! That means Brian hired me to cover his proposal to Lisa, score one. Second, it means Lisa loved me enough that I get to do all the wedding festivities! It is not lost on me how lucky a girl I am when the couple falls in love with me individually. Kudos to these couples where the partner’s know each other’s style of photographer down to a T! Yay!
How did we create their fun Austin engagement session?
Step one, find a pretty location with plenty of room to move around. Next, bring some confetti and a couple bottles of champagne. Finally, add a really rad couple that will piggy back, climb a tree, anything you ask! Nothing was off limits here. We play, we goof around, we have a few calmer moments, and then we play some more! An engagement session is about the photographs we make together, and it’s also about the experience. This is a dynamic, interactive day where you’re making all new memories together! I tell all my clients from engagement day to wedding day that we will always have a good experience. Those pretty photographs don’t mean as much if you sacrificed the experience to get them. We can have both, we can do it all!
